ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Updated July 1, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
The Harbour Vista Homeowners’ Association, Inc. (“the Association”) is committed to ensuring that its website (the “Site”) is accessible to all community members and visitors, including those with disabilities. We believe that all residents should have equal access to community information and resources online, and we recognize that digital accessibility is an ongoing responsibility.
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological impairments.
2. Current Accessibility Status
We acknowledge that the Site currently does not incorporate built-in accessibility features. At this time, residents with disabilities who require assistive technology — such as screen readers, voice recognition software, or other machine-based accessibility tools — are encouraged to use those tools when accessing the Site.
Common assistive technologies that may help when navigating the Site include:
-
Screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
-
Browser-based zoom and text-size controls
-
Keyboard navigation using standard browser accessibility functions
-
Speech recognition software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
-
High contrast or color inversion display settings available through your operating system or browser
The Association does not endorse any specific assistive technology product. Residents are encouraged to use the tools that best suit their individual needs.
3. Known Limitations
We want to be transparent about the current state of accessibility on the Site. Known limitations may include:
-
Images or graphics that may lack descriptive alternative text
-
Forms that may not be fully optimized for keyboard-only navigation
-
Documents available for download (such as PDF files) that may not be fully accessible to screen readers
-
Color contrast ratios that may not meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards in all areas
-
Interactive elements (such as reservation forms) that may present challenges for certain assistive technologies
We are committed to identifying and addressing these limitations as the Site is maintained and updated.
4. Our Improvement Plan
The Association is committed to making meaningful progress toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. Our ongoing efforts include:
-
Reviewing Site content and structure with accessibility in mind as updates are made
-
Prioritizing the addition of alternative text for images and descriptive labels for form fields
-
Improving the keyboard navigability of interactive features such as reservation and maintenance request forms
-
Ensuring that any documents published on the Site are formatted to support accessibility to the extent reasonably practicable
-
Considering accessibility compliance in any future redesign or redevelopment of the Site
We recognize that achieving and maintaining accessibility is an iterative process. We appreciate the community’s patience as we work to improve the Site over time.
5. Alternative Access to Information
If you are unable to access any content or feature on the Site due to a disability or accessibility barrier, the Association is committed to providing that information through alternative means. Please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to:
-
Provide the requested information in an alternative format (e.g., by email, phone, or printed document)
-
Assist you in submitting a maintenance request, reservation form, or community message through an alternative channel
-
Connect you with the appropriate Board member or contact for further assistance
We aim to respond to accessibility-related requests within a reasonable timeframe. Residents with urgent needs related to maintenance or community safety should contact the Board directly.
6. Feedback and Contact
We welcome feedback from residents and visitors about the accessibility of the Site. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have difficulty accessing any content or feature, or would like to request information in an alternative format, please contact us:
Harbour Vista Homeowners’ Association — Board of Directors
Email: info@harbourvista.com

When contacting us about an accessibility issue, it is helpful to include:
-
A description of the barrier or difficulty you encountered
-
The page or feature on the Site where the issue occurred
-
The assistive technology or browser you were using, if applicable
We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will use it to inform our improvement efforts.
7. Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may have the right to file a complaint with applicable government authorities. In the United States, complaints regarding website accessibility may be submitted to:
-
The U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division (www.ada.gov)
-
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity
The Association is committed to engaging constructively with any accessibility concerns raised through formal channels and to working in good faith toward resolution.
8. Updates to This Statement
This Accessibility Statement will be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes to the Site and progress toward our accessibility goals. We encourage residents to check back for updates. The current effective date is listed at the top of this document.
